Enjoy Hiking 

When you have a day off or a weekend when you are looking for something fun to do, you might consider taking an enjoyable hike.  In the United States, hiking is one of the most popular recreational activities. 

Individuals find hiking an enjoyable experience for many different reasons.  Most cities have at least one hiking trail or hiking park and some cities have more than one.  You should be able to find that perfect hiking spot whether you want to hike for a few hours or for a few days.

Perhaps so many people enjoy hiking because it can be a challenge.  Although other sports such as baseball or basketball can be challenging, the challenge associated with hiking is in a place by itself.  Whenever you go hiking you are likely to find changes and surprises along the trail even if you hike the same trail several times a year.  Nothing in nature stays the same forever.  Each time you go hiking will seem like a new exciting adventure. 

You can go hiking alone or with family and/or your friends.  Most people like to go hiking with someone they know.  However, if you prefer, you can go hiking alone.  When you hike by yourself you should take a few extra precautions to ensure your safety.  Let someone else know where you plan to hike and approximately when you plan to return.  Dress properly and have your cell phone with you.
