Some people who regularly drink diet soda are concerned with how this beverage may negatively affect their health

Regularly consuming diet soda may actually make you fatter than drinking regular soda. Drinking diet soda may increase your risk for developing type 2 diabetes.

Diet sodas contain unhealthy ingredients like phosphoric acid, chemicals, caffeine, artificial colorings and sweeteners.

It takes approximately two weeks to develop a habit. In order to break your diet soda habit you need to come up with a substitution for the soda that will satisfy you.

Having a fruit flavored sparkling water drink can be an acceptable substitute for diet soda and it certainly is healthier for you.

First get rid of any diet soda you have in the house.

Have something to drink as a replacement for the diet soda readily available. You can fix your own sparkling water mixed with a flavor you enjoy.

For the first week or two stay away from those places where you would ordinarily have a diet soda such as a fast food place,

Avoid rapid changes in blood sugar levels by eating a healthy diet of vegetables, fruits, lean protein and healthy fats. Limit processed foods and refined carbohydrates which can affect your blood sugar levels.

Drinking a diet soda every once in awhile probably won’t adversely affect your health,. If you are addicted to regularly drinking several diet sodas on a daily basis its time to consider finding a suitable healthy substitute beverage.
