Some Tips To Lose Weight Quickly And Easily

If you want to lose some weight quickly and easily you might consider the following tips.  These tips are easy to follow even if you have a busy schedule.  Try to make small changes each day and you will be surprised how quickly some of these tips become a habit.

  1. First tip is to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water each day. The water will help to fill you up and not fill you out.  Water will flush sodium, fat and other toxins from the body.  You need to stay hydrated to be successful at weight loss.  If you cannot tolerate drinking plain water try adding some lemon or some of the low-calorie drink mixes to the water for taste.  Keep a large container of water within easy reach and take a sip when needed throughout the day.
  2. Skip the extra calories from drinking juices, alcoholic beverages or soda. You may think that just one drink will not do any harm.  It takes a decrease of 3,500 calories to lose one pound.  One soda contains approximately 150 calories.  Soda also contains sugar which can make you thirsty.  Soda has no nutritional value at all.  It is simply empty calories.  One 12-ounce glass of grape juice contains approximately 250 calories.  At least fruit juice contains some nutrients.  To lose weight quickly cut out these calories and drink water and eat whole fruit instead.
  3. Eat a healthy breakfast. People who eat a healthy breakfast eat less food throughout the day.  You can jumpstart your weight loss by eating breakfast.  If you are rushed for time, or you don’t life eating breakfast, then try a shake or smoothie for a healthy easy on the go meal.
  4. Consume protein during your meals and with your snacks. Protein helps you to feel full and will give you energy.  Add some low-fat cheese, peanut butter or lean meat or fish to your meals to help keep you feeling satisfied.
  5. Add extra fruits and vegetables to your meals and snacks. These foods are full of nutritional value and will help you feel full without adding extra calories and fat.  It may be a good idea to replace one meal each day with a salad to lower your calorie intake and boost nutrition.  Just be sure to avoid creamy salad dressings and toppings such as croutons or bacon.  Additions to your salad can add on lots of calories and make the salad a bad choice.   You want to make your salad using mainly greens and fruits and vegetables and a low calorie, low fat dressing. Have your dressing on the side and don’t drown your salad with it.
  6. Indulge in some healthy snacks every few hours so you will not feel hungry and overeat at mealtime. Try a few peanut butter crackers, a handful of nuts (unsalted), some fruit and cheese, some low-fat yogurt and fruit.  When you have a snack include some protein which will make you feel satisfied longer.
  7. Add 30 minutes of aerobic exercise to your daily routine. Your aerobic exercise can include walking. Aerobic exercise will help you to burn some fat.
